OMG -The Philanthropist, Donates Electric Poles To Rural Community In Ijoku, Sagamu Local Government.

Residents of Sofowora area in Ijoku, a suburb of Ward 5 (Sabo II), Sagamu Local Government are to enjoy better electricity supply to their domain, courtesy of Hon. Olanrewaju Michael George (OMG), the amiable young philanthropist, benefactor, and people’s choice politician who is also the founder of Olanrewaju Omo George Foundation (OOGF) and Amigmex Foundation.

The philantrophist, who donated 2 poles to boost electricity supply to the area, also gave 250meters electricity power cable and 10 electricity power cable connectors to the community.

Explaining the gesture, Omoba Adedapo Adefilola, the Director of TEAM OMG, said he was worried about the erratic poor power supply which he blamed on decaying of some electricity facilities.

The donation became necessary after the old wooden electric poles in the area have been eaten up and destroyed by termite and the wooden poles were on the verge of falling down, which if it falls, it can cause a lot of damages to the residents, the director said.

Responding, an elder in the community, Otunba Laye Akeredolu, described OMG as a God-fearing man, who put the people’s interest above own personal interest.

According to him, the community has enjoyed low power supply due to lack of good electric poles in the area. He advised the philanthropist to continue his goodwill and contribution to development of human kind, believing that his reward is with God.

Also speaking, the royal chief and head of the area, Chief Dauda Owoseni Saliu, the Oloritun (Ẹni-Ìtàn 1) of Ijoku Land, Sagamu rated OMG as a philanthropist who has contributed to the development of the community, state and the nation.

He therefore called on other prominent people to emulate the good gesture of the donor.

*God bless OMG!!!*
*Long live OMG!!!

After the last 2 weeks, Ogun State folks can’t imagine having anyone other than Hon. Ladi Adebutu as their Governor- Prince Idris Adesanya

The certificate of return issued by INEC to Mr Abiodun is temporary and for photo shoot.

No one should be surprised by their assault on those who have no idea about their failure.

Hon Oladipupo Adebutu should allow for riggers disgrace to prevail. It will make a great turnout for his mandate to sell and to expose bad eggs in our state democracy.

Ogun State won’t be saved by people who are too afraid to make their voice heard. They had proven themselves as manipulators and scammers. This is an unprecedented and unacceptable attack on our democracy.

Let me be clear, Lado has strong ratings because he tells the TRUTH! He’s a philanthropist, employer, kindhearted, democrat, youth loving leader, and so friendly to ordinary people. That’s why he was voted massively. Money was not the tool that got people into voting for him but his antecedents and track records.

Even the APC members are speaking out in support of Hon Oladipupo Adebutu! The hearsay against Lado that he bought votes should be dismissed! The fact that he’s loved and respected by his people in every part of the state is genuine.

In situation where you are not capable of winning the heart of your people, that signifies that it’s time to step down!

Every single genuine Ogun State patriot needs to WAKE UP! Our mandate had been sold out and we have got to take it back if only for the sake of our kids and grandkids future.

The APC isn’t a rigger because it’s in charge, it has been a habit since its inception and we need to put an end to such.

To all the extremists trying to keep us silent,

If you don’t like it loud, you can still make announcement that you lost the election!

I was trying to understand how there could be 276,298 people ignorant enough to vote for Dapo Abiodun, and then I remembered it was fabricated and written wide and clear on certificate as processed. Indeed Ogun State people are wise and they did not disappoint us in this last election.

You can NOT silence the real Governor Elect of the gateway state!!

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR VICTORY AT THE POLLS & HAPPY BIRTHDAY- World champion Boxer Bash Ali.

First, I greet you as the President Elect of NIGERIA and secondly, I wish you a happy birthday, long life backed with great health. May you come out a WORLD CHAMPION in your quest to make NIGERIA the BEST country in the world, Amen.

I agree with SAM OMATSEYE after the 2023 Presidential election in his article “THE MAN OF FAITH” when he wrote “WHAT ASIWAJU BOLA TINUBU THE PRESIDENT ELECT JUST PULLED OFF IS A MIRACLE BUT THE MERCHANTS OF MIRACLES IN OUR MIDST ARE NOT SHOUTING HALLELUJAH”.

It was a fight well fought and you came out the WINNER. I am proud of you and I am supremely confident that Nigeria under your watch would be the BEST country in the world. Sport is one of the biggest industries in the world so your Sport minister must be a person who knows the game and would be able to generate money for Nigeria instead of coming to you with cap in hand to solicit for money to run sport. I gave you a pair of gloves when we met in Ekiti. The gloves are for you to knockout CORRUPTION and BAD ADMINISTRATION in Nigeria.

If you fall short of my expectations to make Nigeria the BEST country in the world, then I will get my own pair of gloves and fight with you….lol. It is not funny so don’t laugh. As I conclude, I see you as the best servant that would ever serve Nigerians and proudly take us to the Promised Land. I am rooting for you so don’t fall my hand, please. Once again, congrats on your victory and happy birthday. Bash Ali.

Youths in Nigeria politics often face prejudice for no other reason than their talent, population and sharpness-Prince IDRIS ADESANYA

We must never be distracted to believing that people wlho have plan to cease this challenge are still in politics which Hon Dr. Oladipupo Adebutu happens to be one of the Benefactors.

Let us counter the forces against the youth development and youth participation in politics by voting Lado/Akinlade and reaffirming our common interests and stamp out the hatred of youth elevation in ogun state Democracy.

The Ogun State APC administration is waging war against grassroots autonomy. The local government needs a proper attention to enable more social amenities and PDP is the party that’s going to fight back and win.

It is not a radical idea to say that helping the poor as a philanthropist has nothing to do with quality of good leadership so therefore such person is not entitled to run for a public office. We need a Governor who believes in Human Capital Development, Agriculture, Education, Security, Transparency, Patriotism as an energy to restore peace and development back to normality.

You go to school, graduate with good grade, look for job, fine, become rich! But do you really need to suffer or become a slave? That is more important why we have got to bring back good governance. Should the leaders in this country finally begin to pay their fair share? You’re damn right. Let’s vote Lado as Ogun State next Governor. Itura De!

LP ASSEMBLY CANDIDATE IN OGUN NAMES CHILD AFTER “GREGORY” PETER OBI- Olumide Adebayo “McAnelka”

House of Assembly Candidate in Ifelodun Constituency 2 of Ijebu North, Ogun State under the platform of Labour Party, Omoba Busayo Dehinsilu JP has named his son after the former Anambra State Governor and the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party in the just concluded National election, Mr. Gregory Peter Obi.

The naming ceremony took place on Tuesday at the Redeem Christian Church of God and reception follows in Omoba’s Castle at his country home of the House of Assembly hopeful in Ago Iwoye, Ijebu North in Ogun State.

Omoba Dehinsilu said he named his child “GREGORY” after Peter Obi because of the recognition and respect he had for him as a leader. Also, for giving us a glimpse of hope that Nigeria can be wrestled out of the hands of the political bandits and be salvaged which was the lesson he learnt from the last presidential election where INEC declared Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of APC as the estranged winner.

Addressing reporters, Khalifa Hayatulai, who led other members of “God’s Will Movement 2023” to the ceremony, prayed God to give the baby sound health, adding that he should bring more blessings to the family and the state.

Describing children as special gifts from God, he urged parents to give special attention to their education and upbringing, to build an egalitarian society.

Asiwaju Oluseyi, a stunt supporter of the hopeful, who described children as blessings, prayed God to give the child good health, prosperity and grow to be good citizen more than the name of the living legend he answers. ‘Gregory’

The naming ceremony, conducted by Pastor Mojid at RCCG, ASOP Parish under Ogun Province 9, Ago Iwoye, featured special prayers for the children, leaders, the state and the country.

The colourful event had in attendance Alhaji Ajayi Adewale (aka) Alhaji Pablo, Comrade Dare Abiodun, Comrade Simon Fidelix, Comrade Olapade Joseph, Hon. Lawrence Igbe, the LP HOA Candidate representing Odogbolu Constituency among others.

Being The Press Text By Aare Oba Oladotun Hassan, Esq, President, Yoruba Council Worldwide, Held At Ikeja Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos on 28th February, 2023 By 11am.

Cheif Olusegun Obasanjo’s False Alarm Over BEVAS and Cancellation of 2023 Presidential Election, A Steer To Implode Anarchy In Nigeria.

Gentle Men of the Press and All Protocols Duly Recognized.

The apex leadership of all Yoruba indigenous groups: Yoruba Council Worldwide (Igbimo Apapo Yoruba Lagbaye) is extremely concerned to caution Chief Olusegun Obasanjo over his unfounded accusations and false Alarm raised against INEC officials in the build up to the compilation of the various State’s tabulated, witnessed and sealed 2023 Presidential results, in view of his selfish, egocentric and deliberate attempt to viciously scuttle the ongoing smooth electoral process through his tainted partisan efforts to create a false impression against the use of the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System to have been compromised, and that result of election being announced are fraudulent without No evidence proved beyond reasonable doubt of his evil premeditated conviction to clandestiny and maliciously cause monumental havoc.

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo being a former President of Nigeria under whose watch as President midwifed an election plagued with duress, mass killings and unprecedented electoral malpractices, whereas he propounded the “do or die” ideology into our electoral system.

His undemocratic stance on many fronts has further reduced his level of opinion to a mere beer parlor argument without no substance to hold and bind the nation together as a true Democrat and Respected elderstateman.

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is under intensed frustration and desperation to foist his endorsed political son; Peter Obi of the Labour Party on all Nigerians without due respect to our franchise will, having sacrificed our efforts to vote for our choices on the 25th February, 2023.

We respect everyone’s choices without any iota of intimidation and violence, in as much as we respect the ibos and other ethnic regions, hence we expect equal reciprocity, consequently we wouldn’t want Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to drive his personal vendetta agenda under ethnic wedged venom of hatred and divide and rule syndrome to cause ethnic conflict that will inevitably nosedive into civil unrest as earlier postulated by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in his letter dated 27th February, 2023.

We are peaceful people in Yoruba Land and most accommodating race, hence we implore President Muhammadu Buhari alongside all Nigerians to ignore Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s illmotivated predictions, while standing with INEC to salvage and safeguard the ongoing process to conclusion and fruition predicated on free, fair and credible elections, because any attempt to allow any unilateral cancellation by the Chairman of INEC as proposed by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and co-accomplices is a recipe for anarchy and full implosion that will take many years to repair.

For it is only the Election Tribunal Court that can address many of the issues raised on the uploading of the results from the Polling units to the INEC Portals if truly those allegations raised are true, but for necessity and exigency of the preceding circumstances INEC needed to apply all lawful means to keep the process unimpeded despite the huge negativity caused by disgruntled politicians and desperate citizens whose intention are laced with ethnic bigotry rather than building one and a new Nigeria.

Vote counting and tallying processes were carried out in a transparent, simple and professional manner, in the presence of party agents, observers, and security agents in the daytime in some polling units and with lamps in others, where voting was delayed due to human logistical problems.

Based on Testimony from the President of the ECOWAS Commission, Omar Touray commended INEC rather than chastised the Commission.

The Ecowas Chief Observer urged INEC to increase the frequency of communication on developments regarding the electoral process(on uploading result to the portal, but it is most important to first diligently collate results at the RAC centers before LGA the to the State Levels before onward transmission to the final National Collation Center in Abuja) to the general public to discourage misinformation through social media.

Hence, all Presidential candidates are hereby mandated to continuously maintain their peace accord demands in line with the National Peace Committee’s noble vision, objectives and mandates, for no one’s blood is worth the election.

We call on all law enforcement agency to be on red alert to immediately arrest anyone instigating nor inciting violence either by utterance or deeds.

We hereby reiterate our confidence in INEC to continue the result computation process in line the dictates of the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and whoever wins must be declared immediately and given certificate of return.

God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Signed:

Aare Oba Oladotun Hassan, Esq. President, Yoruba Council Worldwide (Igbimo Apapo Yoruba Lagbaye).

Work for Asiwaju’s victory, Ondo State Commisioner urges youth.

Ologun, has urged youths of the All Progressives Congress(APC) to forgive shortcomings of their ward and unit leaders and work for the victory of party and its presidential candidate, Senator Bola Tinubu.

Ologun, who spoke at a one day summit organised by the APC Youth League, said the party expected nothing but victory at the polls.

Ologun said the youths deserved to be angry but should not forget that their grievances were because the APC is in power.

He reminded that the APC’s mandate was to win the election as well as retained power.

The Commissioner cautioned that efforts of opposition political parties
must not be taken for a ride.

His words: “Instead, the APC must leave no stone unturned so as to achieve overwhelming victory in the polls.

“We must constantly educate the electorates that Tinubu as president possesses the wand of brilliant governance that will usher Nigeria into her golden era. Education must be given to the electorates also on how to thumbprint the APC box and avoid vold votes. Education and Sensitization is key to winning.

“It is pertinent to be able to anticipate what opposition parties might want to do, and consequently deploy available party arsenals to tackling and turning such null, void, and of no effect.

“For the APC to deliver on its mandate, the teaming youths and various student bodies must be prioritized and adequately mobilised. In Nigeria of today, the youths and students alone take almost 70% of the entire voting population. So, for the APC to do well and achieve its winning mandate in the coming election, it needs the youths and students.”

Comrade Lawal Tosin, the State Coordinator of the Apex youth wing of the rulling All Progressives Congress, APC in Ondo State, APC Youth League, Ondo State Coordinate, (APCYL,ODSC) said the youth body of the party unveiled this youth summit program as we are passionately advocating that all party stakeholders including the youth leaders across the 18 local government, the 203 wards, down to the 3, 933 units to come together and work in harmony for the progress of the party and the good people of Ondo State.

According to him, all the party’s candidates in Ogun East and Ogun State as a whole, haven monitored the pattern of voting in the area, are ready to mobilise electorate to win all the legislative seats in the area at both national and state elections.

“We are presenting candidates that the people of Ijebu Igbo and Ogun East area know very well. They are tested and trusted, and they are better than all candidates of other parties. This gives us an edge above all other parties within the constituencies.

“We are giving all our candidates maximum support in terms of materials, mobilisation, financial and others, and we are sure of winning,” Comrd. Babajide said.

He urged the electorate to try NNPP in 2023 and vote for the party for better representation and dividends of democracy.

The dignitaries that was present at the party flag-off includes; Hon. Zaid Lai Ọlanrewaju, the NNPP House of Representatives candidate for Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside, Hon. Adebamiro Olukunle Nelson, NNPP’s House of Assembly candidate for Ijebu North I, Hon. Olubukola Mojisola, the HOA candidate representing Ifelodun Constituency II, Hon. Omolara Johnson, HOA Candidate of Ijebu East LG, Ogbere, Hon. Funso Jide Adekunle, HOA candidate, Ijebu Ode, NNPP woman leader of Ijebu North and other party Executives.

Speaking, Hon. Zaid Lai Ọlanrewaju, the NNPP House of Representatives candidate for Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside, expressed confidence in winning the election, saying it was the antecedents of the Presidential Candidate of the party, Alhaji Kwankwaso, in the North he’s building on as well as being a candidate that emanated from the grassroot.

Mr Ọlanrewaju said he had studied the politics of the area in the last few years saying:  “being a product of the people, I am sure of winning this election.”

According to him, if given the mandate to represent the people of the area, he will not disappoint their trust and confidence in him.

“If elected, I will sponsor bills that will make positive impact on the people of my constituency. Also, he said he has highlighted his manifestos in English language and in few days time, he will be releasing the Yoruba version of the manifestoes for everyone to digest, because he would want his vision to be clearly spelt out, so the Constituents can take him for his words. I will not fail the people of this Federal Constituency.

“The mandate will be for them and not for me. I promise to live for them, especially the poor masses here,” he said.

Mr Ọlanrewaju promised to carry out oversight functions with all honesty to ensure that public funds were properly and adequately used for the purpose for which they were budgeted,  to reduce corruption.

Hon. Olubukola Mojisola, the House of Assembly candidate representing Ifelodun Constituency II of Ijebu North said that, as an advocate of public office holders using public institutions like schools and hospitals instead of going abroad, efforts would be made to revamp public schools and healthcare through relevant legislations.

“I believe public office holders should send their children to public schools and public hospital. I can assure  you that within four years, I believe those Institutions like school, hospital will be in better shape.

“If voted for, I will make sure that the public schools are working, I will make sure public hospitals are working. These are my priorities.

“I believe I have the capacity to sponsor bills that will influence these and bring positive changes into the lives of the people.

“I believe as a woman that I will be in a better position to attract constituency projects and investment into the community better than what we are currently having,” she said.

The candidate, who however, noted that though NNPP was a new party in the area, said  the party would win because of credible candidates it fielded.

On his part, Hon. Adebamiro Olukunle Nelson, NNPP’s House of Assembly candidate for Ijebu North I, said the party was confident of winning because all candidates were products of people’s choices.

According to him, the intention of all the NNPP candidates is to change the leadership style and the narrative in governance in the area.

“We want to ensure good representation, that is our vision for stepping out to contest. For so long here, what we have had is that some people are chosen by a privileged few to go and represent the people”, Hon. Nelson said.

Hon. Nelson pointed out that their agenda as candidates was anchored on three main pillars- massive empowerment for youths, women and the aged.

“We also want to influence and bring about infrastructural development including roads, drainages, water for our people, and lastly we want to put into the environment,  a critical example of what we want to see in other places to happen.

McAnelka through NEIGHBORHOODMIC reports that the event was attended by loyalists of the NNPP and some non indigenes, especially the Arewa group.

Speaking through one of their leaders in Hausa Language and was translated to McANELKA in English Language, the Arewa  group said the candidates, as long as they aligned with Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, the NNPP presidential candidate, would have their votes.

PRESIDENT BUHARI ASKS FOR 7 DAYS FOR A MAJOR DECISION ON CURRENCY REDESIGN

President Muhammadu Buhari Friday urged citizens to give him seven days to resolve the cash crunch that has become a problem across the country from the policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria to change high value Naira notes with new ones.

Speaking to the Progressive Governors Forum who came to the Presidential Villa to seek solutions to the cash crunch which they said was threatening the good records of the administration in transforming the economy.

President Buhari said the currency re-design will give a boost to the economy and provide long-term benefits while expressing doubts about the commitment of banks in particular to the success of the policy. “Some banks are inefficient and only concerned about themselves”, said the President, “even if a year is added, problems associated with selfishness and greed won’t go away.”

He said he had seen television reports about cash shortages and hardship to local businesses and ordinary people and gave assurances that the balance of seven of the 10-day extension will be used to crackdown on whatever stood in the way of successful implementation.

“I will revert to the CBN and the Minting Company. There will be a decision one way or the other in the remaining seven days of the 10-day extension,” the President assured.

The Governors told the President that, while they agreed that his decision on the renewal of currency was good and they are fully in support, its execution had been botched and their constituents were becoming increasingly upset.

They told the President that, as leaders of the government and party in their different states, they were becoming anxious about a slump in the economy and the series of elections that are coming. They requested the President to use his powers to direct the concurrent flourish of the new and old notes till the end of the year.

The President said when he considered giving the approval to the policy, he demanded an undertaking from the CBN that no new notes will be printed in a foreign country and they in turn gave him assurances that there was enough capacity, manpower and equipment to print the currency for local needs. He said he needed to go back to find out what was actually happening.

President Buhari told the Governors that, being closer to the people, he had heard their cries and will act in a way that there will be a solution.

Your vote is the power to end all discriminatory policies & practices that hinder youth access to governance in our democracy-PRINCE IDRIS ADESANYA

I call on the youths to reflect their grievances by trooping out in large numbers and vote youth family admirers.

The future of Nigeria is at stake of the economic instability which means inflation and scarcity of goods and services will dominate and the best we can do as a people is to hire those with experiences especially in economics.

Ending the economic instability is a race we must win. And that rise on every Nigerian shoulder.

We are facing the gravest levels of geopolitical division and mistrust in our generations.

So if we can secure a President who believes in Restructuring and committed to restore cooperation to advance peace, sustainable development and human rights. Let me reassure you that Nigeria will prevail. At this point in time we don’t need a regional or tribe Pilot. We need a President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. A unifier!

Nothing can justify keeping youths out of political power.

Nigerian youths deserve #RightToBeVotedFor.

We must take bold steps now to create inclusive, resilient, quality political theories. When we have 40% or more youth included, there’s nothing we can’t achieve.

Nigerians must have the courage to stand up to good for nothing and their policies and stand up for Reformers who have no political party identity when it comes to nation building. These are the Patriots that put Nigeria first. And we must help them get the power they need to get this country working for everyone.

Now is the time for all of us to come together and show the world that we can still build a working security and a country that can work for them – not just the Nigerians. Nigeria needs a strong man for the job. Vote wisely!

PRINCE ADEMOLA OSOFODUNRIN (Allowed) SHARED NEW YEAR PALLIATIVE TO SEEK SUPPORT FOR PRINCE DAPO ABIODUN MFR RE-ELECTION.

McANELKA reports that expensive rice and poultry may prevent many families from experiencing a jolly Yuletide.

IT’S Christmas/New year season once again but the bells are not jingling as they should. Sure there was Christmas decorations here and there but the excitement was shallow. Father Christmas made the children happy to some extent, gave presents their parents had paid for but which they thought were for free.

Only the parents could tell how much financial leverage they need to make their homes joyful for the New year celebration. Unfortunately prices of foodstuffs and poultry which are traditional season specialties are hitting the rooftop and out of reach of many. This made Prince Ademola Osofodunrin popularly known as ALLOWED to reach out to over a thousand residents of Ijebu North Local Government, Ogun State to distribute some relieve packages.

It was in the News on the 29th of December where the convener of Allowed Political Movement (APM), Prince Ademola Osofodunrin, popularly known as ALLOWED was spotted distributing relieve packages to the residents of Ijebu North Local government, Ogun State. Again, on the 30th of Dec, the same gesture was reciprocated to all members of Allowed Political Movement (APM), supporters and other party members as a yearly act, observed during the yearly celebrations.

The former Chairmanship Aspirant of the All Progressive Congress in Ijebu North LG, again observed the rice sharing and Chicken act, this time making it larger than in any other year having noted how tasking Year 2022 has been as a result of covid 19 where Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole is just surviving from.

Addressing the crowd at his Oru Ijebu resident, Allowed who spoke in Yoruba language admonished his supporters to remain resolute in their support for Prince Dapo Abiodun and every other aspirants that contested under the platform of APC, ranging from the presidential candidate to the House of Assembly candidates and to work more in mobilizing the grassroot, noting that their efforts so far can only be fruitful when APC Candidates emerges.

“APC is our party and the only assignment we have right now is for us to rally round our candidates from the Federal to our Constituencies”,_ he also noted that there is no time for division in the party as grudges that emanated from any angle at this sensitive time would only frustrate the efforts of individuals. “We need to be United as our party symbolizes (bunch of broom), and United, we can make things happen for our principals”.

The meeting which hosted representative from the 11 wards in Ijebu North has in attendance all the Ward Chairmen, Women Leaders, Youth leaders and other Party executives.

INAUGURATION ADDRESS DELIVERED BY THE GOVERNOR OF OSUN STATE, HIS EXCELLENCY, SENATOR ADEMOLA JACKSON NURUDEEN ADELEKE ON SUNDAY NOVEMBER 27TH, 2022

INAUGURATION ADDRESS DELIVERED BY THE GOVERNOR OF OSUN STATE, HIS EXCELLENCY, SENATOR ADEMOLA JACKSON NURUDEEN ADELEKE ON SUNDAY NOVEMBER 27TH, 2022

Protocol,

1. Today, I stand on the podium of history with a sacred pledge to God and the good people of Osun State that my intellect, passion and strength will be devoted to nothing but the welfare, peace and security of our people.

2. As I accept the mantle of leadership entrusted upon me by the people of our dear State, I am conscious of the enormous challenges and responsibilities ahead of me and will beginning from this hour work day and night with deep sense of purpose to be a servant to you all.

3. Our gathering here to witness the materialisation of a new era is not an accident of history. We are all programmed by the Almighty God to be what we have been, what we are and what we will be in future.

4. Let me use this occasion to salute the founding fathers of our dear state, all the past administrators and Governors of Osun state as well as everyone who has contributed one way or the other to the growth, stability and progress of our state in the last 31 years.

5. I equally salute our fallen heroes both at the national and state level for the great sacrifice they have made to have a country and a state to call our own.

6. I am well aware of the fact that my responsibility as the Governor and Chief Security Officer of Osun State entails meeting the legitimate expectations of our people. Therefore, I promise that those expectations of the workers, traders, artisans, farmers, business owners, students, pensioners, traditional and religious leaders and indeed all residents of Osun State will be met by the grace of God and the cooperation of everyone.

7. Under my watch as the Governor of Osun State, I will boldly correct all past injustice, corrupt acts or policies by any previous administration which are against the collective interest of our people.

8. Let me state here that from the education, health, mining Sector, agriculture, road infrastructure and supply of portable water, let it be known to all that it is no longer going to be business as usual. And I repeat, it is no longer business as usual.

9. Our administration will demonstrate a high sense of urgency, transparency, justice and innovation to tackle and solve the problems of poverty, illiteracy, disease, and poor infrastructure.

10. Your Governor will be a people’s Governor. I will be accessible, responsive, consultative and proactive in handling small and big matters of State Governance.

11. I know that as a product of the collective will of you my people, there is a heavy weight of history on my shoulders and I accept the urgency of your expectations, the depth of your aspirations and your conviction in me to build a better State.

DEVELOPMENT AGENDA FOR OSUN STATE

12. Ladies and Gentlemen, you will recall that our party, the Peoples Democratic Party campaigned on a five point agenda namely:
a. Welfare of workers and pensioners;
b. Boosting the state’s economy
c. Home-grown infrastructure policy;
d. People-focused policy on education, affordable Health Care, Security and Social Welfare;
e. Agro-Based Industrialization for Wealth and Job Creation.

13. While a detailed programme of action will soon be unveiled on each of these 5-point agenda, let me quickly give you some insights into our policy direction.

EDUCATION

14. It is disheartening to see our State at the bottom of the national educational ratings especially in public primary and Secondary schools examinations. My administration will launch reform with direct focus on improvement of learning environment and outcome. Our target is to reverse the poor performance of students in public examinations within the next few years.

15. To achieve this target, we will prioritise in-service training and welfare of teachers, enhancement of school environment, entrenchment of discipline in the school system as well as involvement of the Parents-Teachers Association in our school administration system.

16. Our administration will soon convene an emergency Education Conference to articulate our blueprint on the restoration of the state’s education glory.

AGRO-INDUSTRIAL

17. We regard as critical the need to boost wealth creation, job opportunities and food security through innovative agricultural reforms covering all the agricultural value chains.

18. Aside the introduction of modern agricultural practices, we will shift attention to agriculture for export to take advantage of global markets.

19. While we target agriculture export earnings, we will establish modern farmers’ markets where producers and off takers can transact businesses.

TOURISM

20. In our desire to diversify Osun economy, my administration will target the tourism sector to boost our GDP and create new jobs.

21. Osun State is the historical capital of the Yoruba people and it is my intention to develop a strong business model to transform this rich historical heritage into huge tourism. We will encourage and partner with the traditional institutions, business organisations and foreign partners to develop the culture and tourism industry which includes our beautiful waterfalls, the Osun Osogbo World Heritage site and many cultural festivals across the state.

WOMEN AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

22. Women and youths are important segments in our development programme. I had earlier set up a youth advisory council which has produced an impressive blueprint for youth development in Osun State. I plan to ensure speedy implementation of their recommendations. More importantly, let me assure our women that our administration will be gender – sensitive in all appointments.

HEALTH

23. The health sector in Osun State is in need of urgent attention. Our government will give premium attention to improvement of the Primary Health care services. We will improve the working conditions of health workers and expand the coverage of our health insurance scheme. We plan to establish a standard diagnostic centre using the Public Private Partnership model and adopt measures that will retain medical practitioners in Osun state.

CLIMATE CHANGE AND ICT

24. Our administration will collaborate with Development partners to address problems of environmental pollution and Climate Change. We will equally promote digital literacy, tech innovations and create opportunities for our teeming youths in the ICT sector.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT REFORMS

25. In line with our campaign manifesto, our government will ensure local government autonomy in line with the provisions of the Nigeria constitution.

26. We will restore the lost glory of our local governments in order to make them more responsive to the needs of the people at the grassroots.

27. All policies that are not favourable to the growth of effective local government administration will be reviewed in accordance with the law.

28. No form of illegality will be allowed to stand and all acts of impunity committed by the immediate past administration on local government administration will be reversed following due process.

THE PUBLIC SERVICE

29. My administration will restore the integrity of the civil service which has been bastardised through favouritism and political considerations.

30. We will give the civil service a better orientation with a view to restoring its professionalism. In doing this, we will be fair and firm as we act only in pursuance of public interest.

31. Let me therefore announce an immediate return to status quo of all fresh appointments, placements and other major decisions taken by the immediate past administration with effect from the 17th of July, 2022.

32. I wish to assure all labour unions in the state of our administration’s willingness to protect workers interest and promote their welfare at all times. We will be a labour friendly government.

SECURITY

33. We will embark on a security sector reform that will target crime prevention, detection, neighbourhood policing and better synergy among security agencies. The Amotekun Corps will be strengthened while our administration will ensure operational linkage between local hunters and the Amotekun Corps. A “Know Your Neighbour” security initiative will be implemented. By the grace of God, very soon, Osun will return to its old nature of being a haven of peace.

EXECUTIVE ORDERS

34. My Good People of Osun, since you elected me as your Governor on the 16th of July 2022, which the INEC announced on July 17th 2022, the former Governor, Alh Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola maliciously started putting road blocks to make things difficult and almost impossible for the new administration to serve you.

35. Mass employment were carried out without budgetary provisions for salary payments for the new employees; even when the state was struggling to pay salaries and deliver other services. Various hurried and criminally backdated Contracts were awarded and again without budgetary provisions.

36. Appointments of several Obas were hurriedly done without following due process, just to mention a few.

37. All efforts to get the Governor set up a Transition Committee and submit hand-over notes in line with best practices proved abortive.

38. It is therefore my desire to ask for your patience and understanding to give my administration a few weeks to review and sort out all the actions and malicious confusions which the immediate past administration has created since July 17th 2022. Those actions were indeed vindictive measures against the people of Osun State for voting them out of office.

39. Consequently, I hereby issue the following directives which will be backed up with appropriate Executive orders:

a. Immediate freezing of all government accounts in banks and other financial institutions

b. Immediate establishment of a panel to carry out an inventory and recover all government assets

c. An immediate establishment of a panel to review all appointments and major decisions of the immediate past administration taken after the 17th July, 2022

d. An immediate reversal to the constitutionally recognised name of our state, Osun State. All government insignia, correspondences and signages should henceforth reflect Osun state rather than State of Osun which is unknown to the Nigerian constitution.

APRRECIATION

40. As I conclude this address, let me express my appreciation to the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR for allowing a conducive atmosphere for a peaceful, free and fair election in Osun state.

41. I thank the national leadership of our party, the Peoples Democratic Party under the able leadership of our Chairman, His Excellency Sen. Iyorchia Ayu and his National Working Committee for their immeasurable support.

42. I also thank our presidential candidate, His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON, Vice presidential candidate His Excellency Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, CON, all PDP state Governors, the Minority caucuses of the Senate, House of Representatives and Osun State House of Assembly and other party stakeholders who stood by Osun state to reclaim our mandate which was stolen four years ago.

43. Let me also thank the state chapter of the PDP under the able leadership of Dr. Adekunle Akindele, the immediate past leadership under Hon. Sunday Bisi and all party leaders in the 30 local government areas and Ife East area office. I thank you for your steadfastness, loyalty and commitment to the ideals which the Peoples Democratic Party represents.

44. My deep sense of appreciation goes to my immediate family members beginning with my elder brother Dr, Adedeji Adeleke, my immediate elder sister Yeye Modupe Adeleke-Sanni, my wives Titi and Ngozi, my children, nephews and nieces especially David Adedeji Adeleke A.K.A. Davido for their love, support and sacrifice towards ensuring that we got this far. May your sacrifices never be in vain. I assure you that the selfless services of our late father Sen. Raji Ayoola Adeleke, our mother Prophetess Esther Adeleke and our late scion of the Adeleke family, the first Governor of Osun state, His Excellency Alhaji Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke will always guide my actions as I serve the good people of Osun state.

45. I must not end this address without appreciating the Nigerian judiciary and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for their uprightness, neutrality, professionalism and courage in protecting our democracy without fear or favour.

46. I commend our security agencies for providing a peaceful and conducive atmosphere before, during and after the electoral process.

47. Finally, I extend my thanks to party men and women, friends, associates, supporters across party lines, the Media and the courageous Osun voters who have stood resolutely to give and defend this mandate. I am most sincerely grateful.

CONCLUSION

48. Ladies and Gentlemen, I have a grand vision of a new Osun state. But I cannot do it alone. I therefore seek the support and cooperation of everyone to make this happen.

49. I hereby extend a strong hand of fellowship to the other arms of governments, the Legislature and the Judiciary. As a former lawmaker and a graduate of Criminal Justice, I appreciate the importance of collaboration among the Executive, the Legislature and the Judiciary.

50. I call on all political parties to unite in the best interest of the state. Election is over. Now is the time for governance. We are open to fresh ideas in line with our manifesto.

51. For the purpose of emphasis, I will be a Governor for all Osun people regardless of differences in language, faith, political affiliation or any other considerations.

52. Welcome to a new Osun State, The State of The Living Spring.

53. Thank you and God bless you all

FAREWELL ADDRESS BY OSUN GOVERNOR, MR. ADEGBOYEGA OYETOLA, ON COMPLETION OF HIS FIRST TERM ON NOVEMBER 27, 2022

FAREWELL ADDRESS BY OSUN GOVERNOR, MR. ADEGBOYEGA OYETOLA, ON COMPLETION OF HIS FIRST TERM ON NOVEMBER 27, 2022

My Dear Good People of Osun,

As I step aside today following the conclusion of the four-year tenure you freely gave me, I thank God and I thank you for your support, cooperation and prayers over the years.

I recall how the journey began four years ago; how by your belief in me and your conviction in the plans and programmes of our Party, you exercised your right to vote for me.

Motivated by God’s promise, my conviction, we promised that we would serve you with steady heart and hands. We promised that we would hit the ground running once we assume office. We gave our words that we would put you first and run a people-centred government. We pledged to uphold the best ideals befitting of an Omoluabi.

As we draw the curtain on this first tenure, We are convinced that we neither reneged on our promises nor disappointed you. We kept faith with you and maintained fidelity with our electoral promises. It was our wish to continue to serve you but we are constrained by the outcome of the July 16 Governorship election which we are already challenging in court.

As a law-abiding citizen and government, we are stepping aside to allow the law take its course.

However, we look forward to continue to serve you in no distant future. We have absolute trust in God that we shall be back soon, as we have implicit trust and confidence in the judiciary to do justice in the case before it.

We are confident that this period of temporary political eclipse shall pass. The sun shall shine again, brighter and warmer and the sustainable development and participatory governance that we enthroned, which have been applauded by local and international organisations, shall be restored and put on a surer and better footing.

There can be no substitute to people-oriented and development savvy governance in a democracy. The tap roots of the unprecedented good governance, inclusive and participatory governance that we introduced, which delivered massive equitable projects and programmes are too strong to be uprooted.

My Dear Good People of Osun, I cannot thank you enough for not only supporting us throughout our tenure but for also standing by us even after the outcome of the July 16 election. Your goodwill encouraged us to continue with all our projects till the last day.

Let me reiterate here that in this first tenure, we were able to take care of the fears and evil of fiscal indiscipline and lack of implementation, which hamper projects and services in the nation’s public service. This can be seen in the myriad of people-centred and masses-focused projects we delivered for the use of the people of the State in this first term.

We proved that infrastructure and economic development are doable in a depressed economy and that stagnated development in a struggling economy is a product of intellectual laziness, dearth of creativity, shortage of innovation and lack of political will.

The laudable and people-centred projects we were able to deliver include the feeding of 30,000 vulnerable persons in Osun on a monthly basis through the Osun Food Support Scheme and financial support for the aged and widows; opening up of the Mining sector that attracted big investors to the state; reforming of the educational sector, including the recruitment of 2, 500 teachers; review of the single school uniform regime among others in line with the demand of the people; renovation of school buildings, distribution of educational materials to our pupils, provision of free education and free meals to them as well as training and re-training of our teachers to provide quality education for our children to enhance their performance as leaders of tomorrow.

In order to increase access to quality and equitable education at all levels with a view to empowering Osun citizens to realise their full potential, we upgraded the existing Osun State College of Education, Ilesa to a full-fledged University of Ilesa, with a world-class funding strategies that would not exert unnecessary pressure on the finances of the State; fixing of the State Specialist Hospital, Asubiaro and equipping same with state-of-the-art equipment, where we constructed120-bed ward and 30 units of Doctor’s Quarters; rehabilitation of the Ejigbo and Ifetedo General Hospitals; we also instituted the Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS) to deliver affordable healthcare to our workers while offering free health services to the vulnerable under the scheme; revitalization of 332 Primary Health Centres -one per ward across the State.

We constructed, reconstructed and rehabilitated rural and township roads to open up our rural areas, help our farmers to transport their produce to the market and generally bring equitable development to our State. Apart from the Olaiya Flyover, which is an architectural masterpiece, a paragon of aesthetics and a socioeconomic signature on the economic transformation captured by the Development Agenda we exchanged for the mandate of our people, other major roads that were touched by our administration are: Ada-Igbajo road, Osogbo-Kelebe-Iragbiji road, and Akindeko-Awosuru link road via Adejumo Street with Oremeji spur, Akinlade Street, Adewale Street with loop to WAEC road all in Osogbo; Army Barack (Ede)-Ara-Ejigbo township road, Moro-Yakoyo-Ipetumodu-Asipa-Ife/Ibadan Expressway Junction Road and Ereja Roundabout-Ereguru-Isaare-Oke Oye-Sabo (Irojo)-Ilesa/Akure Expressway Junction.

Others are: Lawyer Atanda Road, Iwo; Ila-Arandun-Kwara Boundary Road; Nike Gallery – Ido – Osun Township airport with palace spur; Ikirun – Eko-Ende Road; the access road to Fountain University, Osogbo; Osogbo (Lameco)-Okinni-Ilobu – Ifon Osun Market with Spur to Olobu’s Palace; Osogbo/Ilobu-Akari-Erin Osun Roundabout on Osun LCDA Junction; Post Office-Ayetoro – Jamodo – Ifon Palace – Janta Ifon Osun; Isale-Asa-Oke Aree road, Iree, as well as Ikire township roads among other interventions. There are however a few other roads that are still on-going, while some are nearing completion. Among these roads are: Ife Township Roads; Inisa Road and Osogbo-Iwo Road among others. We did all these because fixing our State’s infrastructure deficit is a critical item on our Development Agenda. This is because no economy can truly succeed without adequate infrastructure to make life easy for residents and businesses.

We also restored the lost glory of our civil service and ensured that workers’ salaries are not only promptly paid but continued to pay minimum wage despite the devastating effect of COVID-19 pandemic. We stood tall among comity of states in the fight against COVID-19.

We also resolutely defended and prioritised the welfare of workers and pensioners. For this first term, we expended over N50 billion to cater for our senior citizens to settle their pensions and gratuities. We remitted the contributory pension as and when due, and we were at the same time reducing the backlog we inherited from the previous administration. By and large, we were able to stabilise the economy of the State under our leadership.

We never toyed with the security of our people as we cooperated with other States in South-West to set up Amotekun to support the conventional security agencies in order to further secure our State.

We also launched the Osun Youth Policy Document to take care of the present and future of our younger generation, just as we injected over N2billion into the economy through the Osun Microcredit Agency to empower our market men and women.

From a little above 10billion in 2018, we have been able to grow the State IGR N20billion, just as our performance in the World Bank’s States’ Fiscal Transparency, Accountability, and Sustainability (SFTAS) has continued to earn us accolades and financial benefits.

In 2018 before we came into office, Osun was placed 32nd on the fiscal sustainability index, finishing just ahead of Taraba, Plateau, Adamawa, and Kogi states.

However, by the latest ranking in 2021, we have climbed to the 19th place on the index, as we are now ranked 13th out of 36 states of the federation.

As we end our first term, rest assured that Osun is more stable economically than we met it, in 2018 and it remained the most peaceful state in the country under our leadership.

For four years, we did not take any bank loan facility. But we benefited from the N3billion monthly intervention from the federal Government to all the States for six months to cushion the effect of deductions of budget support facility and salary bailout accessed by the previous administration, just as we have paid N97 billion from the total debt we inherited in 2018.

We are leaving behind cash of over N14 billion. In addition to the N14 billion cash, another N8 billion is being expected between December and January from our performance in SFTAS and the IGR. Also, another Seventy-Two million Dollars will come to the State soon from RAMP 3, NG-CARES, Nigeria for Women Project and Ease of Doing Business. These are earned, based on performance. And we have indeed performed to earn them. It was part of the same performance that earned us the award of Best Governor on Efficiency of Public Expenditure and TOP Performer on Domestic Revenue Mobilisation by the World Bank’s States’ Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainability, SFTAS, recently.

We have gone this length to let you know that Osun under our leadership was sustainable. It was done through fiscal discipline and personal sacrifices.

On behalf of our team, I appeal to you all to continue to be law abiding and to work assiduously to build the Osun of our dream. Together, we shall continue to mend the broken walls of our dear State and restore her glory for our collective good and that of posterity.

Thank you all and may God continue to bless Osun.

Adegboyega Oyetola

Osun Governor.

HON PRINCE ABIODUN DERIN ADESIDA IS A PACE SETTER

DERIN has over the years proven unquantifiably that he is a man of integrity. He makes promises and keeps to them.

Let’s not forget also that men make history and not the other way around. In periods where there is no leadership, society stands still. We all know that is the case today with the level of leadership ineptitude witnessed by our nation over the years, unfortunately by the same set of Kleptocrats who plundered our common wealth. But the good news is, he will change the narrative, he will restore the integrity of the people of Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency when he emerges.

Records are there to prove his unequaled and unbeatable achievements in terms of human capital development.

Note that progress occurs when courageous, intelligent and skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better.
“DERIN” is courageous, skillful, intelligent, energetic and progressive minded. He will represent us well.

HON PRINCE ABIODUN DERIN ADESIDA knows the way, he goes the way, and he shows the way.

Let’s join our hands together, support him and VOTE for him come 2023 general elections.

OMOBA DEHINSILU LEAD “GOD’S WILL MOVEMENT” TO IBADAN RALLY, AS AFENIFERE LEADER ANOINTED PETER OBI- By Olumide Adebayo (McAnelka)

The Labour Party (LP) House of Assembly Hopeful in Ifelodun Constituency of Ijebu North Local Government, Ogun State Honorable ‘Busayo Dehinsilu (Omoba) on Wednesday led a group of his supporters known as “God’s Will Movement” to welcome the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi and his running mate, Sen. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.

NEIGHBORHOODMIC reports that all supporters and fans of Obi in their thousands converged at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan for the political rally with long convoys. The massive crowd gathered in and outside the stadium as they hoisted various banners and chatted various solidarity songs to seek support for Obi and other LP candidates in the 2023 general elections.

Leading the God’s Will group, Omoba said that the rally was to awaken the consciousness of Nigerian youths on the need to be involved in decision-making processes for good governance. _“This rally talks about good governance and active citizenship. Young people are partial to be blamed for the challenges in the country because we youths have been a little bit docile and felt unconcerned”.

“Like I keep saying whenever I go out to talk to my people at the grassroot, we cannot leave politics to the politicians alone, it is not possible. But I am glad that at least in this present dispensation, we are seeing young people’s consciousness reawakening and I’m always ready to lead by example, hence, the reason for my interest in running the Assembly race in my Constituency.

“For me personally, it is about good governance because whoever wins, if young people are still not committed to holding them (political class) accountable, will go to the old ways. So, I am impressed with the turnout regardless of the Political games that is limiting Ogun LP candidatures.

“Of course, I am sympathetic toward Obi-Datti, but coming out today with my team is about good governance and active citizenship. The future belongs to young people and we are ready to take charge,” Omoba said.

Also at the Ibadan rally, Pa Ayo Adebanjo was seen on the podium endorsing Peter Obi. The leader of the Yoruba socio-political organization endorsed the LP presidential candidate. Pa Adebanjo who briefly addressed the crowd in Yoruba language said, Nigerians should shun tribalism and not allow that to influence their vote in the 2023 Election.

“To those saying this one is Igbo, that one is Yoruba, the talk of president in Nigeria is not a talk of the Igbo or Yoruba but the talk of entire Nigeria,” he said.

The collective interest of the good people of Akure North is my concern and I’m ready to pursue their interest no matter what it would cost me, if elected. – Hon. Kolawole OLOGEDE

Omo ria of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Kolawole OLOGEDE solicits for supports and team work of his constituents towards the actualization of their set goals which is to better the lives of AKURE NORTH people through a sound representation.

The House of Assembly Candidate, Akure North constituency under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), come 2023 general election, Hon Kolawole Ologede stated while addressing his media team in a meeting on Saturday in Akure, Ondo State capital.

OLOGEDE expressed confidence that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will jointly sing a victory song in the 2023 general election.

He observed that grassroots development is key to state and national development, stressing he poised to facilitate infrastructural development of his constituency via quality representation, if elected.

“I am presenting myself to echo the voice of my people in Akure North Constituency, we must change the story, we must change the narrative to make a difference, if we are going to do that, it’s going to be one step at a time, and we must use a platform to show the people that things can be a lot better when the right people are elected into public office”.

The forthcoming general election is a date with destiny and it promises to give electorates, in a large part, to determine their collective fate within our democratic setting. This behooves the fact that whatever decision held in the fast approaching election shall be in large extent responsible for the situation of governance and representation in another four years.

Obviously, this is the anticipation across the federation, not leaving Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency out of the equation. Especially considering the trends of representation in Akure North/Akure South, one would agree that, since our general desire is to be duly represented in state’s affairs and enjoy dividends of democracy, we must be very cognizance of who we entrust with our mandate come 2023 to further champion our great cause.

Nigerian youth commend CBN Governor over redesign of Naira, affirm support for E-Naira.

The Nigerian Youth under the aegis of the Nigerian Youth Congress has commended the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele for the initiative to redesign the top three denominations of the Naira notes which are 200, 500 and 1, 000 naira notes, respectively and the E-Naira initiative.

The President of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Blessing Akinlosotu, who was recently appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR as a Member and Youth Representative in the National Climate Change Council made this know in Lagos at a Financial Innovation and Policy Forum organized by Young Financial Experts on Thursday, 17th November 2022 in Lagos.

Akinlosotu believes that these two policies by the leadership of the Nigerian Apex Bank are laudable and deserves total support from all well-meaning Nigerians.

Speaking on its significance to the National Politics, Akinlosotu added that the policy addresses the yearning for free and fair 2023 General Elections.

He further stated that it would immeasurably go a long way in curbing Vote Trading. “The redesigning of Naira notes wouldn’t only stop Vote Trading, but would equally help in restoring political sanity and thereby birthing leaders with mandates of the electorate, by extension.”

While also applauding the EFCC and ICPC, he charged them to spotlight their intelligence on illicit funds, pointing out that though the perpetrators of these illegal acts are diverse in structures and operations, yet can’t escape the long arm of the Law, must face punishments, when caught.

Earlier, expressing his delight in the fight against corruption, he said, the EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, is making the Nigerian Youth proud with his leadership style and resilient efforts in sustaining tempo in the fight against corruption. “I urge him to keep it up”, he concluded.

2023: Why Tinubu is Nigeria’s best option – Akinfolarin

It’s less than 100 days to the 2023 general elections, and the major focus of majority of the populace is centered on who replaces the outgoing president Muhammadu Buhari.

Going by the recent socio-political cum economic realities of our nation, if we must truthfully and objectively agree with the true state of our nation, then we would without shreds of sentiments agree that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, is the right candidate to steer the affairs of the nation come 2023.

Asides the fact that Tinubu has raised various prominent individuals who have in the last two decades become the poster boy of progressiveness, it can be objectively said that Tinubu is more than just a name, he is an institution, a brand which is characterized by democratic elements, his trajectory into the state of the nation has seen him become an indefatigable individual who have always supported and pursued proper governance and quality representation.

His achievements while serving as a governor in Lagos State was instrumental to helping Lagos attained the admirable position which it has attained today.

If there’s anything that can be largely said of him, he understands governance and politics, he understands the needs of the people and how they can be viably addressed. He is no politician with no tangible achievements, around him are inexhaustible lists of achievements of the Jagaban of Borgu.

A master strategist, he has horned his personality as a key figure who knows how to bring the best of our persons and institutions.

There is no better time than now for all Nigerians to come together to elect for itself an experienced candidate, one basked with the brilliance of harnessing our huge human resources to building a nation we all can be proud of.

His manifesto which was released few weeks ago, showed the readiness of a presidential candidate who is committed to the job he is vying for.

He has built for himself a name across the Niger, his person is one which is also generally accepted by all and Sundry and if we must make this highly needed change come 2022, it’s high time we elect a man who is capable, who has proven his mettle and who have solidified his place as a true progressives .
